The weighted base keeps it from tipping when I set a heavy fork down, which was my main worry. Stainless steel still looks polished after a few dishwasher cycles. Small thing, but it cleans up the counter next to the stove nicely.

I've been using this little holder for a few weeks and it's surprisingly sturdy for something so small. The stainless steel has a nice weight and it goes straight into the dishwasher with the rest of the load. Fits a spoon, fork and knife without any wobble.
