Lifting a heavy pot off the stove and having the trivet stay stuck underneath is incredibly handy, no more hunting for a hot pad at the last second. The magnetic grip is surprisingly strong, and it’s a clever way to cut down on extra steps between kitchen and table.

Carrying a hot pot of stew from the stove to the table used to mean a separate trip back for the potholder. Now the trivet just rides along, stuck to the bottom of the pot thanks to the magnet in the stainless steel center. It's a small thing, but it's become my favorite kitchen gadget this year.

I didn't realize how handy the magnet would be until I carried a hot pot of stew straight from the stove to the table and the trivet came right along with it. No more hunting around the drawer for a coaster while the pot's already in my hands. The stainless steel center looks sharp on the table too.
