The bowl is made from fine stoneware paste, hand-glazed in a translucent white glaze. The board is made from olive wood. For serving a variety of appetisers. It represents the tradition of olive growing in Portugal, inspired by the olive grove. The box includes an illustration and a summary of the text ‘Monte das Oliveiras’, which tells a story inspired by the olive tree, from the times when only birds fed on its fruit and enjoyed its shade, to the present day where the flavour of its juice is valued and appreciated.
