Category: candle

With a simple yet robust appearance, the candlestick from Serax's Concrete collection was designed by Studio Simple. These pieces are stackable, which adds an extra playful element to the design. The wide concrete base provides stability for the candle, and at the same time catches the dripping wax. The stacking feature is honestly my favorite part—I’ve got two of them nested on the shelf when they’re not in use, and they look like a little sculpture. The concrete finish feels sturdy and modern, exactly what I wanted for the dining table.

It’s got a real heft to it that makes it feel solid, and the raw concrete finish looks great on the dining table even when there’s no candle in it. I like that I can flip one on top of the other to change the height, which keeps things interesting without taking up much shelf space.

The stackable design is such a clever touch—I’ve already got two of them nested together on the shelf and it looks like a little concrete sculpture. Feels sturdy and heavy in the hand, exactly the robust look I was after for the dining table.
