The plate feels remarkably substantial in hand, with a smooth matte finish that catches light beautifully. I've been using it daily for pasta and it's the perfect depth for sauces without spilling.

The ebony glaze has this almost liquid depth to it that shifts in the light, and the handcrafted feel of the optics makes every plate look one-of-a-kind. It’s just the right size for a generous pasta or stew serving, and it feels wonderfully solid in the hand.

The deep plate has a nice weight in hand and the ebony finish feels really smooth, almost polished. It’s a bit smaller than I expected for a deep plate, but still works well for pasta or salads. Minor quibble aside, the craftsmanship looks solid.
